Memoirs of a Missionary

Cami had her babbbbbyyyyy! and sumner is coming home?? And alia found out her baby is a girl!!! AND SELAH IS GOING TO PROM! man what an exciting week!!! haha. I'm so glad cami was ok. Lil' ace has got so much haiiiiirrr. Poor Liam :) Send me pictures of everything.

Oh my heck, i loved getting the letters from all the missionaries in the stake! Thank you! Everyone sounds great! Seriously, what better cause could we be a part of? Missions are the best!!!

I love my mission. I just decided that right now. It just happened. haha. I really do love it. Not so much the hard times,  but I love it :) Last night we took one of our investigators to a fireside at the Mission President's home.  The spirit was so strong and she got up and shared her experience. She was wearing a beanie with 100 safety pins in it haha. and all black. Bless her heart. I love her. Her parents won't let her get baptized but she turns 18 next month and is gettin baptized the 15.

There were 4 elders that I served with in Federal Way there. Oh what a tender mercy. I love love love those elders. They are like life long friends. I really do love them! We all took a bunch of pictures together. Haha.It was really such a tender mercy.

ok, so we have this new investigator, John. We found him tracting. We went back with a member  to have a lesson and John opens up the door and just stares at Alex and says " Alex" and then adam looks back at him and says " hello john". I was like " you guys know each other?!" and john said "yes and i don't like him" hahahah! It was just like a movie and so incredibly awkward. But it turned out really good and John came to church. He is atheist and does larping. Look it up if you don't know what it is. So funny. But they are way serious about it.

We were tracting this week and sister morgan kept punching me and poking me, thinking she was being really funny. I did not think so. I told her if she did it again that I was going to punch her. Like a little kid, she pushed my buttons and hit me real hard. So what did i do? I punched her in the arm. Poor lil thing, looked shocked. But she doesn't poke or punch me anymore. Don't worry i still have charity for her.

I don't really feel much like writing today actually. But I still wrote a lot. Aren't you proud? I'm a little burnt out these past few days. It's zone conference this week and that will be really really good. Onward Christian Soldiers!

Well. write me soon about what's new and tell me how cam is doing and all that jazz. I love you all. I pray for you.

Love you mucho,

"Give Me Mountains, Give Me Challenges"

I think God is a pitcher…. because he loves to throw curve balls my way. Can I just say that I have gained such a testimony and deep deep appreciation of our Savior and his infinite atonement this week?

We find ourselves as we forget ourselves and focus on serving others and rid ourselves of the natural man. That is when everything just falls into place. I have learned so much about myself in these past couple of weeks, just by focusing my attention and love on my companion. What a blessing from Heavenly father!

Oh my goodness! I am so overwhelmingly blessed. I feel our Savior’s and Heavenly Father’s love. I think when we come to a realization of their love for us as individuals, then nothing else matters. That is when we can truly love all of Heavenly Father’s children.

Heavenly Father answers prayers! I just cannot say it enough!!! This week was leadership training. SO all of the zone leaders, sister coordinators, trainers and district leaders get together. I knew Sister Banks would be going, because she is a trainer. Sister Banks is like my comforter out here. I just prayed that I would be able to see her, like pick her comp up and do exchanges for the day. It was a LONG shot, but somehow I knew heavenly father would answer it. Honestly, 5 minutes after I got off of my knees, the sister coordinator calls and tells me I am invited to the leadership training. What the heck! I am a junior companion, I did not belong there!! So I went and got to spend alll day hearing such inspiring and uplifting messages and be with sister Banks!!! Turns out, I wasn’t supposed to be there so I didn’t get to go back the next day. What a tender mercy!

THEN all of my questions in conference were answered right away! It was crazy. I asked how I could better prepare myself to be the best mother for my children. UM HALO! Those talks were amazing for children and it directly connects with investigators. I want to convert my children to the Lord and help them make good choices, and that is what I want to do for my investigators! I feel like this mission is preparing me to be the best that I can be for my children.

My companion was realllly down this week. I felt myself slumping into it. I have never had to be strong for someone else before, but I knew that I couldn’t show her how I felt, so I just relied on the Lord and knew the feeling would go away. I just pushed through it and I felt happier immediately! I encouraged her to go tracting with me and I pleaded with the Lord that we would see a miracle from tracting. Twenty minutes in we found a girl who was atheist and searching for happiness. We told her of God’s love and the restoration and asked her to pray. She DID! And we have a return appt with her for Tuesday night!!! Oh my goodness. Praise the Lord.

I loved conference! Oh how blessed we are!! When the prophet speaks, you know without a doubt that he has a personal relationship with the Savior! Amazing :)

I love you guys. Be happy. Push through. Life is SO good :)
